How does the license key work?

How does the charge limit work?

Sensei stops the charge at the level you pick. Default is 80%: cooler battery, longer life. Travel Mode is one click. Sensei tops up to 100% at full speed, with no macOS slowdown on the last 20%. Your normal limit returns the next morning at 9 AM.

Does Sensei send my data anywhere?

Your battery, app-energy, and calendar data stay on your Mac. Sensei uses network services for update checks and license activation. Actions you choose—such as downloads, checkout, support, or video playback—contact the services disclosed in the Privacy Policy. The macOS app has no behavioral analytics.

How is Battery Sensei different from the macOS battery menu?

How do I update Battery Sensei?

Sensei checks for updates on launch. A new build shows up as a quiet notice. You install when you say so. No silent pushes, no nag screens.

How does Meeting Guard work?

Opt-in Pro feature. Sensei reads your calendar locally and predicts which meetings your battery might not survive. When a meeting is at risk, you get up to four nudges: 30, 15, 5, and 1 minute before start. Each nudge names the exact minute the laptop is predicted to die ("dies 17 min into standup") and the plug-in time that fixes it ("22 min on the charger and it lasts through the meeting"). Event titles never leave your Mac. Sensei reads the calendar locally via EventKit. If the risk passes, pending reminders cancel silently.

Why it matters

Most settings screens grow into a second job. This one stays short on purpose. Sensitive app data lives on your Mac, so the main decisions are how Sensei looks and when it starts. Its few network services stay narrow and explicit.

What lives here

Menu-bar content. Choose what the item shows (percentage, time remaining, an icon alone) so the thing you check forty times a day says the thing you actually want.
Appearance. Follow the system, or pin light or dark. Every surface, overlay, and share card is designed in both.
Language. English, German, Spanish, French, and Japanese, independent of your macOS language if you prefer.
Start at login. Battery Sensei is only useful when it's running; this is the switch that keeps it there.
